Return from Covid-19 Plan
North Carolina is using a County Alert System that tracks certain metrics to measure the severity of the spread of coronavirus in each county. Three measures are used to determine if a county is considered Red (critical spread), Orange (substantial spread) or Yellow (significant spread).
The three measures:
- The number of new cases over a 14-day span.
- The percentage of new positive tests of all tests over a 14-day span.
- Hospital impact (high, moderate, or low).
You can find this information in much more detail at this site:
https://covid19.ncdhhs.gov/dashboard/county-alert-system
Moore County is currently in Yellow status.
1. Distancing arrangements will be discontinued. We will no longer restrict seating in the sanctuary, and we will move Sunday school classes back to normal arrangements.
2. Masks will be optional. We will no longer expect masks to be worn at any time.
Updated November 27, 2020
With respect to the governors Executive Order 180, effective on November 25, it is expected that all persons 5 years old and up wear face coverings while inside the building for all gatherings (worship, Sunday School, small groups, committees, etc.)

- Greeters, who will be masked, will hold doors open for you as you enter and leave the building.

- As you come into the sanctuary, you will see sections marked off with blue tape to aid with physical distancing.
- Bulletins or any other materials will be set out for you to pick up.
- Offering plates will not be passed. You will be able to place your offering into a plate on your way in or out of the sanctuary.
- We are singing in our worship services.

Sunday School: 9:45 am

Our policy regarding a positive test of an attendee
- If an attendee of a worship service learns later that week that he or she has contracted the coronavirus, then we cancel all in-person gatherings for 12 days from the date the positive-testing person was in attendance.
- Only with permission will we release the name of the person who tested positive so that others can determine if it is wise for them to self-isolate or get tested, if they had prolonged, close contact.
Christmas
- Currently our children are rehearsing for their Christmas program on Sunday evenings from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm in the sanctuary.
- Currently we are planning the following activities during December:
- A Christmas Celebration Service on Dec. 6 at two separate times – 5:00 pm & 6:30 pm.
